I'm ashamed to say it but for the last month there has been very little sewing going on in Casa del Poppins. This comes with the revelation that I've had my lovely new machine for almost a month now and used it precisely 4 times! I'm slowly getting used to it and have a couple of projects lined up for next week to get me going again.
Just because I've not been doing any physical sewing doesn't mean I've not been thinking about it (almost always constantly), planning new projects, thinking about Christmas projects, purchasing fabric and notions* and tidying up my sewing room including organising my stash!
Below are some photos of recent buys and the tidier than normal sewing space. Enjoy!

Ha! Are you planning a plus quilt? Me too. *g* Spouse wants a quilt for his chair "with minis on" so I've had to buy novelty fabric *shudders* I figure that would be a good pattern to use it for! So I can kinda......disguise it!
ReplyDeleteYup. A Christmas one! I have a layer cake of in from the cold and figured it'd be a nice lazy make ;-)
DeleteEww novelty fabric :-( I reserve that for the scrap vomit I'm collecting for!
WOW! That is a lot of stocking up! Good to be prepared though, in case we get snowed in for weeks - at least you'll be happily creating!
ReplyDeleteIt seems like a lot more when its all written down like that! At least I'll be prepared for all the christmas presents I'm hoping to make.

ReplyDeleteYou are going to be busy! :) Quite like the sound of the Dresden pillow- can't wait to see.
